I have a RA93 chip. It has my BLMs at 90 or in the 90s most of the time. I played with the translator and it runs better on the 3 inch setting. I have a horrible tip in stumble. I just got my JC93 chip and changed the plugs.

The plugs were white. I thought they would be black but they were porcelain white???

Now the new plugs and JC93 chip are in. I changed them on my break so I couldn't really drive the car.

Unrelated question: How loud should injectors tick? I unplugged my cam sensor trying to resolve this problem earlier and the number 5 injector sounded like it was going to break apart. All of the other injectors had a small almost unnoticeable tick but this one sounded and felt like someone was beating on it with a screw driver. When I plugged the cam sensor back in, it went back to normal???

I gave up on my reds chips, and went to the max effort. My blms were bottomed out on all my chips.

I have 55s and you would think I had a header leak or bad valves ticking. My injectors are the loudest thing under the hood, but all 6 of them sound the same.

Ok put in the JC chip and had to change the setting to 0 because it was running lean. At least that means it was working. Now the tip in as not as bad but it is still there. I played with FP down to about 35 and up about 48. It was better at about 40-45 so I set it at 45.

The problem is that when I hit the gas, it goes from about 110 BLM to 140 BLM. It is raining so I couldn't really get on it but the way I see it, the idle BLM is low which causes a lean spot trying to go to 140 or so BLM.

Now maybe this is a question for Jay but does the chip need more TPS vs FE% (or whatever it is called) that adds more fuel as you press the gas? I played around with Turbo 6 Tuner and saw the table for this but can't recall what it is. Thanks for any replies.

I had a Reds 93 chip in the mostly stock GN.

Perfectly normal 120-130 Blm's.

Now I have a Red's 100 chip in there with also good Blm's.

Stock MAF system. 42psi. hose off or so.

At about 20psi. boost with alky. with this chip.

They seem to work okay in that car.

WE4 has the Maxeffort chip and other stuff.

Both work for me. :)

I have it set on 0 for Base, 0 for WOT. I tried it at 3 but it was very lean. Drove around some more today before emissions and got it to pass with the JC93 chip. But the stumble is still there.:(

I researched the cam sensor and if it was a few degrees off, would it cause something like this. I thought if it started, you were good???

I have a new 02 sensor and am going to check for vacuum/exhaust leaks. Any other ideas?

Someone has been messing with my car!!

Started looking back over my work and found the IAC motor was loose. It took about one turn before it was tight. I think someone else left it loose 'cuz I am too smart for that.

Anyway, would this cause the problems I am having??

I need to add a small cut in the throttle blade cause my IAC #'s went from 10 - 25 to 150 - 175!!! I tried adjusting it but could not get it down lower then 140 something. Then I couldn't get the TPS #'s right. Has anyone had to do anything like this?

I'd start all over again with the adjustments.

Start by setting tps. low to .38 or so, forget about WOT for now.

Then back the throttle air bleed screw out and check the IACV counts.

Then move forward and reset every 1/4 turn or so. Keep an eye on the tps as well.

Just my .02.

Buying a new IAC tomorrow. I doubt this one is working anymore. Regardless of the numbers, the only time the idle changes is when I move the throttle. :(

TTT

Ok new IAC in and that problem is fixed.

Can anyone tell me why I have a lean stumble from idle?? Can this be fixed in the chip with AE vs TPS? I read that that setting is the same as the accelerator squirt in a carb correct? Then do I just need a bigger squirt or am I missing something? Could the cam sensor need to be moved CCW??? I really don't want to have to mess with it if I don't have to.

EVERYTHING else is fine. 02's are finally up at 750-800 at WOT vs high 600 before (thanks JC).

I can't remember the ill effects, but I remember that accurate cam sensor adjustment was crucial to my car.

Thre's my .02

Broken rocker shaft

Car started tapping yesterday. Figured it was a lifter so I pulled the whole intake off to find it was a broken rocker shaft. DAMNIT!!! Well ordered the TA perf HD shafts. Should be here tomorrow as I ordered them next day.

Wonder whats next to break??? Could this be the reason my car would stumble off idle? Maybe it was bent and breaking and finally broke. We'll see tomorrow night...

Fixed the rocker shaft, Adjusted fp from 35 to 55 static, moved cam sensor twice ( car started both times and ran fine), BUT STILL HAVE STUMBLE!!

Now the good news, I put back in the RA just as a what the hell and the stumble was almost gone??? The BLM were still low but the car runs fine. Should I ignore the BLM and just drive the car? If so, do I send the JC chip back and is it possible to get a refund?
