i got a wierd question???

help with wot problems!!!

my car runs 100% better at 1/4 throttle apposed to wot???
why is that? how can I fix it?
also when I got the car the first 3 times I ran it, it ran 10 times better than it ever has since? does the brain have something in it to tell it elevation? can I fool it?


the car came from Florida and now it is in Wyoming (5200 feet)

any help would be great.

first off i would have to suggest that you get a scantool and find out what kind of numbers the car is throwing. i forgot to read the sig, but do you have an adj. fuel-pressure regulator? It sounds like your car may be running rich at WOT due to the thin air. It ran fine at sea level? Is it throwing any check engine codes? Before doing the ole "unplug" of the ECM I would seriously check on picking up a scantool, they're quite valuable.

I have a scan tool but it was dropped and it is real hard to read? is there any place I can send it to get it fixed? yes I have an adjustable fuel presser regulator. do I need to turn it way down? or could I just turn the boost up to fix it?

It's likely you're running too rich because of the altitude (less air relative to the fuel = rich). But I personally wouldn't mess with it until you get a working scantool. What is your air-fuel gauge showing?

it shows rich almost all of the time. at 1/4 i think it shows a little les rich? anyone know if i can get my scan tool fixed?

If it's a Scanmaster you might be able to get it fixed by contacting www.ramchargers.com, they seem to be the main vendor on these things.

You can probably tune it to some degree using your air/fuel gauge, though this won't be as precise as a scan tool. Sounds like you're real rich, though.
