EVERY STUPID THING I SAY JUST STAYSJ UP HERE FOREVER! CAN'T EDIT OR DELETE. I LIKE TO CHANGE KEY WORDS AFTER SOMEONE GIVES ME A HARD TIME SO THEY LOOK STUPID INSTEAD OF ME. :p ANY CHANCE THINGS COULD GET BACK TO NORMAL?

HEY, IF YOU WANT TO COPY SOMETHING FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE, ENABLE PICTURE POSTING ON THE THREADS. PLEASE? :(

Hmmmm...

Got to say that I agree with you on this, John. Posted last nite in the FL section to add your name to the vendors listed and it did not let me, BUMMER !

Good seing you at the Bradenton event, John. C-U in BG in May...

I totally agree. Editing should be the users choice not the moderators. Like for example, say I have a part in the forsale section and would like to edit my org post price, you can't, or even say its sold when you got a buyer. I really don't see the need for not being able to edit stuff because once you do, it says the time and date you editted it anyways at the bottom of your post.

And Shirley you would assume all Moderators have the power to edit...not me!

Non-smart change by the Administrators of this site.:(

I hate not being able to edit your posts too, John!

:D

If nothing else, I guess we'll be forced to choose our words caerfully, um carfullie,, um carfellie, um...

:D

I'm gonna have to disagree here. I think it is a move in the right direction. Too many people being jerks and starting trouble then editing and deleting what they said. This is a good way to make people accountable for what they say.

Personally it really pisses me off when some one starts a thread that is opinion based, everyone spends time replying and debating the topic, then the thread starter deletes it? WTF is up with that? Makes it a real waste of time posting here IMO.

It's nice to be able to edit posts for longer than 10 minutes, especially in the "Parts For Sale" sections. Other than that, it probably will encourage people to choose their words more carefully. You can't "unring a bell" in here anymore.

Could the edit feature be allowed in the "MarketPlace" sections?
How 'bout it moderators?

You can't edit posts now?

If that's true, it's a pretty stupid decision.
Keep up the stupid decisions, and most of the users will migrate elsewhere.

I just posted to this topic, then edited it, then deleted it.

I'm not sure why some people are having this problem?

Either you have hidden "super Muderator" powers, or you did not play the game fairly. It's after 10 mins that the post can not be edited/deleted. Before the 10 min time limit, the post can be edited/deleted by the author.
Wait 10 mins and try it again.

Well, since I wasn't aware of the "10 minute rule" I guess I didn't play unfairly! :D

However - you are right! There is a 10 minute lockout - that's BS!

Why did this 'rule' come about?

Hey John...

Just count your blessings that Steve isn't here to check spelling, he'd give us all hell...:D

I too have needed to edit prior posts... for our car club events... to add/remove info, directions, time, location, etc.

I CAN'T DO THIS.

What do the guys do that are posting stuff for sale? Say they have a bog list of parts and start selling them. They can't go back to the original post and remove 'em, right?

Cartman is right , I for one am tired of being blamed for deleting post that I or other mods and admins did not do.
So the best way for this to stop is to not have the deleting/editing option on , I know this may make some members mad ...I am truly sorry but we have been forced into this decision.

Sorry
:(

Jesse,

Any way for the editing option to exist in the "marketplace" section or is it an "all or nothing" thing?

Let me look into it :)

Sorry...but it's a poor option to make it easier to protect the integrity of the moderators.
And not to point fingers, but if posts hadn't been selectively deleted in the first place over the last several months, the suspicion wouldn't even exist.
