My 1984 GN is back from the paintshop. I think the job is better than I ever thought it would be. Click on the link and then click....... sort by "newest" at the top of the screen. I have to apologize for eveything having fingerprints on it. I was assembling the pieces and decided to take a few pictures of the car while doing so. You must remember this car has no wax on it at all. Once it is waxed the car will be MORE SHINIER ;)

I think the reflection is pretty good.

I had the painter airbrush the emblems on the car. I didnt feel like waxing around the emblems and the painter thought he could do a decent job on them so I let him have at it. I think they turned out well. You can't really tell by the photos, but the airbush work is candy paints on the turbo 6 with metallic silver base and the letters have a drop shadow on them so it looks pretty good in the daytime.

You think I could get a Bud sponsorship?

Hope you enjoy.

Don't kill the car too bad please.

Thanks Jerry Berger Jr.

THat is an awsome paint job right there. If I am not being too rude, how much was that??? I got an estimate for my car to be frame up repaint and make all panels line up with no dents or or anything, and 4600 was the final. Only ting was, he said it would be more because I need a new driverside door. SO I am betting 5000 is the magical number for me, and with that stencil job with the badges cost you near that or more! LOL, damn nice ride. You gotta get it goin!!!

Good job.

well hmmmm

Well... the paint job itself was not cheap. My dad and I stripped the whole body down to bare metal ourselves and prepped and primed the hood, doors, and the fenders. We then aligned everything as far as sheetmetal is concerned so we wouldnt have to worry about aligning painted sheetmetal. The paint job itself cost me about 4k he had to do body work on both doors and a quarter. And some metal patching around the quarter window track area. I'm happy with it. I wish I could ahve gotten the car about a month ago so I could of had the car ready for our local Autorama that we're having Jan 23-4. That would've been super nice. Could've gotten some really nice pics there due to the good lighting. Anyways thanks for the views.

Lookin' good my friend! That should look liquid when waxed. There is something said for not cheaping out on the paint, that kind of job can last a very long time! I can't wait to get mine into the shop, really it just needs a few touch-ups, a small rust fix on the rear quarter, and cut the clear coat and reapply, and that should look fine, but I'd love to get a nice quality job like that. Congrats!
