well i was driving the car to the muffler shop thinking i had another exhaust leak because i had such a ruff idle and i have NO... NO power at all
took me about 30 secs to hit 25!!!!!
well the exhaust shop said everything is fine... he said i proabbly had bad plugs and said it sounded like it was missing some of the cylinders...
so i go to autozone and bought 6 new r44ts plugs and put them all in...
didnt help at all
still runs like crap... so i decide to jjust drive it home... well i could only go 43 mph tops... foot to the floor and everywhere in between... so i made it about 3 miles and then it just died when i stopped at a light and had to get towed home... now the engine threw 0 (zero) codes and all the IC hoses are on correct

what could cause this?
vacuum leak?
bad trans?
i say trans because i recently plugged in the TCC plug back into the trans even though the switch isnt working and then the car began running really bad

so i am asking for some sort of help
i am dying over here with this car!:D

any help is appreciated

Does the car still have a catalytic convertor? If its really plugged up, it can do that. Something is waaay wrong there, shouldn't be hard to find.

bad cat would cause a no start though??

my exhaust sounds really choppy and that does make sense but i would never think it would make a now start...
the car would crank over and fire then i would really have to TRY to rev it and it wouldnt go past like 1500 rpms and then it just bogs down and dies

yes i have gas and i dont know of any problems

i was thinking of just taking off the downpipe and trying to start the car

good idea or no?

A bad cam sensor made my car die like that. When i installed the new one without properly setting it, the car ran like that.

Just my .01

i'm with u on this one, this sounds like the prob keep us updated

unplug the tcc switch it sounds like the torque converter is locked up all the time ..

the plug is OUT of the transmission
i need a new TCC switch but just dont have the money for 1 and NEVER see one for sale... hmmmm probably expensive

i will definatly try the MAF tomorow and make sure it is plugged in correctly... i did just mess with the air filter taking it off and cleaning it....

well i will check all that and if that is alright... ill throw a test pipe on my downpipe (dont like the cat anyways :) )

i will keep everyone updated and thanks for the responses
it is greatly appreciated

don't "mess" with the plug on the maf...just unplug it and see how the car runs.......

yes exactly... i was meaning i took off the air filter, cleaned it, put it back on... this was about a week ago

that is what i meant by "messing" with it...

that is all...

Sounds like it's running on the calpak chip in "limp" mode. Try pulling and re-inserting your chip or try a different chip.

i dont know what type of chip i have but this was a gradual process...

everyday it kept getting worse... idling worse... running worse... then all of a sudden it just lost all power and took a dump on me so to speak

i do need a good (cheap) chip if anyone can recommend one or have one for sale... i have 009s injectors...

Well, at least pull it out and re-insert it. How about this........take out the chip (larger one) and see if the car runs the same. If it does, without the chip, seems the problem would be the chip.

Contact Jim Testa to have a chip made. I understand he makes good chips for 009s

Be sure and let us know what it was when u figure that bugger out, k? THX!

jackass... i dont know how to bypass the cat
it is welded onto the downpipe... i was thinking of just unbolting the downpipe from the turbo... well i dunno ill just take the downpipe to a muffler shop today and get a test pipe put on...

anyone know how long the test pipe is supposed to be to replace the cat?

for performance take the cat off or what ever, but its not your problem, if it was that clogged it would smell like rotten eggs when the car was running. I don't see how it could cause a no start.

yeah that is what i thought also... even if badly clogged... how can it cause a no start!?

well i still want to just take it off.... no emissions tests in michigan so it will not matter... i just dont really wan to pollut the environment though:( ;) hah well i will test all the methods posted....

how about a intake leak?
would that cause something like this

i am trying to think of all possible things that couldve gone wrong
