If any of you can remember, a few months ago I had sold my 87 WE4 and was looking around at some other TRs and such. Long story short, I got an LS1 car (98 Pontiac Formula with basically full bolt-ons and suspension except SFCs) and I may be trading it to get back into a Turbo Regal...

I knew from the start that I was gonna miss my 87, but i was offered a deal that included more money than I paid for it and couldn't say no. But, of course, I miss it to the point where I want another one. The car is in Texas and I'm in South Florida, so I would be driving it back home...hopefully with no problems.

The alky kit is an SMC. Other than the info given he didn't have much else to say about the car. The engine is currently out of the car and is being rebuilt as of now, reason being the owner spun a bearing. He said the motor should be back in the car in ~1-2 weeks and I told him I'd like for him to drive it around and have all the tweaking and adjustments made before I made the trip to come check it out. A car almost EXACTLY like mine sold a few weeks ago for $10,500 but it had 108k miles on it, compared to my 76k. This guy is asking $9k obo but would rather trade, so I was going to see if he could throw some money on top too. PLEASE NOBODY STEAL THIS CAR FROM ME!!!

Any and all help/advice you can lend towards this would be greatly appreciated, as always. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully be able to help me out!

tired of the bird already!?

here's the working link to the car:
t-type - LS1TECH

looks really nice, seems like a good trade provided the engine is being built right and youre not getting something that will blow up again.

good luck, i'd go for it.

Not sure what you mean by this...

And its not that I'm necessarily "tired" of the bird, its more like I never really wanted to get rid of the TR in the first place. I was offered over a thousand dollars more for the car I bought over a year ago...I couldn't say "no." Now, this guy makes a post on ls1tech saying he wants an Fbody, and it seems legit.

My original story with the 87 T was that I was thinking of selling because it was impractical, until I found out i was only getting 15mpgs because my fuel pressure was waaay off. So, I had called the local Turbo Buick mechanic, set up a day to bring him my car to have it adjusted, and then someone approached me with cash and you know the rest.

Now, I see a car that will basically have 0 miles on it. It seems to be beautiful on the outside and inside(interior), and the motor seems like it's being done right. THe guy said its being rebuilt at "a shop in lubbock texas called tiner mechine" (i'm sure he means "machine"). Dont know if any of you TX members have heard of it, but if so feel free to chime in!

I am confused, all the links show someone wanting to trade for a Buick ... but you have a Pontiac to trade, right? ---
