I need another rebuild...

Ok guys, I need to rebuild my transmission again. For some reason I am breaking them like there is no tomorrow. I have killed six and need a seventh (does that make me a serial killer?). So, to put it bluntly I need to know who offers the best rebuild kit for the money. I can't afford much (otherwise I would just pay someone to rebuild it). I just finished fire academy and am starting paramedic school starting 1/7/05, which lasts a year. So I need something that will last me a long time and is pretty inexpensive (up to $300). Anyone have any suggestions for me? It would be nice, although, I am pretty sure it won't happen, is for the kit could handle being beaten on every now and then, but I realize this would probably be a kit that would be more of a point 'A to B' one.

Hopfully someone can make some sense out of my scattered thoughts.

neil i believe you purchased from us before.stage 1 master kit.all bushing,washers ,is selectives 1 thru 15 ,filter alto reds with kolenes for direct,alto wide band all steels and clutches.299.

Go to Ivan at Tranny Tech and call CK for parts. Get it over with once and for all. Once the parts came in I had the car back next day. It costs alot but I also used all the billet parts I could get including the converter.

Chris, yes I have bought a kit off of you before, that is the one that I fried most recently, I'll probably have to give you a call sometime, after I get tuition paid.

Anyone have any possible suggestions of what can be going wrong here besides bad builders? The first four were built by a shop and I popped them usually within a week, then I built the last two figuring that they wouldn't be any worse. The first one blew in about 24 hours and the second lasted about 4 months. Just wondering if any one had any clues.
