Just ran the GN down the track for the first time (just got the car in April). I ran a 13.2 at 104mph twice. I couldn't get more out of it on BFG radials. Is that a respectable time on street tires? How much will a set of slicks help? I'm running bout 23 psi and Razors alky kit even though the signature doesn't show it yet. Oh, and 60' best was 2.06. I do know that's not a good 60'. Thanks for the input.

If your going to run (I do) a 3.73 gear, it's best to go with a 28" tall tire. I like the MT 275/60/15 DRs. This will keep the final gear ratio within 10% of stock, while having a big tire that will hook. This gear / Tire combo also keeps drivability in stop and go traffic nice and crisp with a bigger turbo, and a tight converter. Most people will Poo-poo this idea, but I've had great success with it on a 12,11, and now a 10 second street/strip car. More then one way to skin a cat.;)

There is a few more mph left in the tune. That and some sticky DRs and you should be mid twelves or better.

What were your O2s on the big end?

Nice job for your first time. Congrats.

Get your O2s in the 790 range at the big end, and you should pick up about 5 mph. I see no reason why this sled should'nt be doing low 12s with a good tire and tune. Your closer to elevens than you think. It just takes time. That's the fun.

Let us know how it goes.
Happy spooling.
