I've owned the car since january of '99. I really never got to enjoy the car, i've been cleaning up messes from the two previous owners which resulted in the complete engine rebuild. I spent too much money, alot more than I was planning on so now I'm forced to sell. I think this is a great car in great condition. The interior is exceptional. it is a t-top car, the headliner needs to be replaced, and there is a small burn whole in the back seat(not from me, I'm a non-smoker)other than that the interior is flawless. Exterior is in great shape, there are small bubbles/chips on top of the trunk lid. don't know how or why, they've been there since i've had the car and have not spread. there are some swirl marks and small scratches in the paint but it still has one hell of a shine!! The T-tops don't leak, but will need new weather stripping soon, along with the door weatherstrips. No rust at all!
the paint is starting to "bubble" at the very bottom of the car below the doors(rocker panels)

the car is not completely done, it needs some tuning. The car drives and cruises great, but as soon as you hit the throttle the car will not build more than 5lbs of boost and emits some black smoke from tailpipes(fuel related). I can't figure out what it is, but in all honesty since I started school this semester my freetime for my car is down to about nothing. So I haven't had time to find out what it is.

Right now the car feels like a dog. the IC isn't hooked up, but I will be putting a remedy to that this week. Any ideas on the boost problem? Seems ot me the regulator isn't doing it's job. He said he couldn't get it to adjust up. there is a brand new stock replacent wastegate in the trunk of the car. Should I just mod it for adjustability and use it for now, or do you have any ideas as to my problem with it?

Also in the trunk is a set of new Poston headers. Should I use them? He said he thinks I should sell them, because they are welded inside the flange causeing a big bump. I had headers on an lt1 car like this and I just ground the weld bead out and had no problems. Will these headers be eak if I do that? Are there gains to be had with them?

He said it's a stock replacement turbo. My goals are mid to high 11s. What would be an efficient (meaning high hp/$ value) replacement?

I've read all the recipes, but I have a hard time knowing what info to follow as much of this car has been converterd to a cold air setup.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would go with maby a set of larger injectors, maby the 009's or the MSD 50's. You'll need a new chip also. For the turbo check out this website. http://www.precisionte.com/products/products.php?view=list&qcategory=Turbochargers. A TE44 or a TE60 should be adequate for you. You'll need a higher stall converter at least 2800. As for the headers from my experiences you don't really start to pick up much with the header until you start going into the 10's. The stock headers would be fine, but if you want to put the Poston Headers on that shouldn't be a problem. You might pick up some performance gains.
