If anyone has a set of prostar (or simular) rims for the front with skinny tires, I would like to rent them for a day. Im running m/t slicks on prostars and I have the stock rims/tires up front. Want to see if anyone would rent me the fronts so I could use them on the 22nd........ thanks!

.... or maybe Ill just buy my own. Is there a huge difference between the $90 each Jegs Sport Star rims and the Weld Pro Star rims for $140 each? I will only use these rims for the track and run stock rims on the road. Should I spend the extra $100 for the Welds or is it not necessary? I have Weld Pro start 15x10's in the rear and need rims for the fron. Will the Jegs match good enough? thanks!

how much you want for them and are these the 8ply for the heavier cars? Car is pretty much stock weight. thanks!

check out craigslist.org and ebay.
and dont buy the jegs knock offs, they require conical lugs, which are found on most OEM wheels.

the welds take mag lugs, and *I* feel safer with the mag style lugs holding my name brand wheel on.

Ebay has the weld pro stars new for $140 each.... Jegs are $90 each and if there isnt much of a difference then I cant see spending the extra $100... unless people had bad experiences with Jegs brand. i figure the rear rims/tires would feel more stress than the fronts so thats why I went with Welds on the rear........thanks for your opinoin.... I might just get the Weld. does it matter brand for front tires?

I have the front weld look-alikes from summit. The lug hole diameter is tight and requires a thin wall socket. Plus they are heavy compared to the welds. But they look great and are cheap!
