I think I'm retarded when it comes to working on this car

So,...driving around this afternoon I get on it,...and notice I can only build 10 Lbs in 1st gear no matter what. It really acts like it's having a hard time building RMPs as well,... takes a bit to shift from near redline.

Boost leak right? Well,..... checked all my hoses,... they are tight.

The ONLY thing I didn't do with the spring cleaning was the PCV valve.

While checking vac lines and the hoses I did notice fresh oil around the current one like it's leaking.

So I'm thinking that could be the culprit. Or am I totally stoned???

Yea I do,... I didn't know that could cause your boost to get screwed up when it's clogged.

Can that really happen??

BTW,... I mentioned/thought it was the PCV becasue I believe somewhere I read that they tent to leak. Maybe one of the aftermarket vendors???

Also,...oil around it. I'll have to check back laters I'm thinkin,....have to go out and party it up a tad.........

i had a customer's car that did the same thing and really didnt think it was the cat. it didnt sound cloged. but when i took it apart. it was melted on the inlet side.
