What IAC counts do ya like to see @ idle in park? My motor is 234ci 212-212 roller. Also how much timing @ idle?

My car likes 30* timing at idle. Others have it at 25, and some are as low as 20. My car just seems to run smoothest idling with 30*.

Cruising i have it running 40*.

The IAC position is mostly determined by your throttle stop setscrew. (In the old days, this would have been the idle speed setscrew)

I like to adjust my throttle blades so they hold the idle speed slightly above the idle setpoint in neutral (IAC position=10), and then when I shift into drive the IAC opens up slightly to about 15.

If I rely too much on the IAC for my idle, I find that I get some idle speed oscillation.
