IAC from junkyard

Someone said you can use an IAC from a 3800 engine junkyard and it would work in LC2 engine, is this true?

I want to get one from junk yard to test before I get a new one.

Not sure aout the 3800, but the 3.8 on 86-87 front drive is the same unit. As you know, the 3800 is not the same engine as the 3.8.

I'll just be safe and check for 3.8s instead of 3800s then
