Hello gentleman. I preformed a vacuum test with a smoke machine on my GN. You know, just to check my vacuum lines. I noticed smoke coming out of the electrical connection of my Idle Air Control Valve . Strange right but true. Anybody recommend a good I.A.C Valve and who sells it?

I was teaching him how to do the procedure. Its always good to teach the next generation. Then he said "dad..... Should smoke be coming out of here"? He was pointing at the I.A.C... He is a good boy with good eyes.

Rock Auto has a Walker brand for $24. I would go with that. It is the most sold model of the several they have.

Thanks John. I have a Walker saved on my Bookmarks list. I saw that brand on eBay too. Price is right compared to a lot of venders. Thanks for the info.

That's a great find. Very lucky. I forgot the brand that I installed like ten years ago. Its still running perfect except the whole vacuum leak thing. Its a shame that we have to buy multiple versions of the same part just to find a good one. I've own my car for twenty years and I never seen it so bad.

If your idle speed is in the correct range, I wouldn't worry about it to much. I mean after all, the IAC only has one job to do and that is to let a little air passed the throttle plate to regulate the idle speed.
