Like Bruce says, it depends. You could easily get in trouble if you try to tune to a specific A/F ratio. Tune for best performance, with no knock. THEN look and see what the A/F ratio is, and what the EGTs are. After you have tuned using performance as your yardstick, then you can use A/F and/or EGT as a reference to help keep things at their peak. BUT-- if you change cam, injectors, turbo- then you have to start over.
