I have a transmission that I was told that it was a BRF, but the ID tag was missisng. Is there anyway to identify a BRF valvebody by looking at it? It has the numbers:1342 and 4203-D5 on it, if that helps. Thanks in advance!
If your lucky it will still have the letters BR* stamped on it in ink, but usally it is wore off or washed off. Also has purplish/pink paint markings, if neither of these are apparent check to see if there are two pressure switches, one on the top and one on the back side, also here is a link that may help ID it by what is in it internally http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/images/valvebody.gif
Hope this helps that's all I have maybe someone else has more info.
