I know its not far off from a grand national but im currently swapping a freshly rebuilt 1987 intercooled motor with new je pistons and all other brand new parts into my daily driven 86 oldsmobile cutlass supreme. Now its running a 1972 olds 350 as a run around motor. It has GNX fender vents, a GN hood, a hotchkis two inch lowering kit with tubular upper control arms, boxed lower rear arms with adjustable upper rear arms. Triple gauge pods on the A piller with oil pressure, water temp, and tach. A fresh rebuild on the GN rear an BRF trans with upgraded internals to support big boost...later on. once motor and trans are in I get to do a complete dash swap and rewire the entire car (lucky me). The car is currently in all primer but when I race people and they lose, nothing like rubbing it in there face that they jost lost to a primer POS. If only honda owners new what was in store.

How do you put pictures on this thread, the car is in my album but I dont know how to actually put them on this page.

I've done the dash swap in my similar project., Well, still in the works. Anyway, the passenger side A/C ducting wouldn't work so I changed it out to the Buick piece. I don't know, yours might work but mine was square at the exit. A couple of U nuts have to be relocated on the firewall. It's easy. The speed sensor is needed for some ECU functions. It's attatched to the back of the speedo head. You'll need one, or an equivalent aftermarket piece. Did you install the engine harness yet?

I still havent even started yet. I should be picking the motor up soon but once the first snowfall comes in the cars off the road till its complete. Thanks for the advice I will definitly have questions for you Im sure :D

You would be correct, I had the original Rochester up top but started leaking nd not working to well so I pulled it to rebuild it but instead just put my dads edelbrock nd air cleaner on top since he switched to a real AAR 6 pack setup on on his 72 340 dart.

i couldnt see the number and i was thinking it said 440 but then i remembered those said Magnum instead of four barrel.

Even better eye, it is a 340 but not for long. Hes dropping a stroker in it so now hes gonna try to keep up with my GN powered car...I keep telling him good luck

What's the deal with the GNX vents? Are they functional? Who made them? Seems like a good idea to get rid of some underhood heat

They were on the car when I got it and they are functional also. I dont know how they were put in but they are in there tight so Im not gonna question it. They are level so im thinking they were professionally installed or the previous owner actually took there time doing this one.

I dig the sleeper look. Those vents and hood aren't so sleeper-esque... LOL! I like the multiple colors of primer. I think you could actually do a "camo" look with various shades of matte gray.

I am putting a 1985 turbo in my Astra Panel. That should turn some ricers heads when they get their doors blown off...

Sleepers rock!

Does it have anything like this on the inside of the fender? Just wondering what it takes for functional louvers. 1986 1987 Buick Regal Grand National Turbo T T-Type GNX GNX SENSOR BRACKETS (2) and INNER FENDER LOUVER BEZELS (2) KIT #7117
