I think my car hates me. I don't know why I want to be nice to it and make it faster and repaint it. But no. It hates me.
So I'll start my car and it'll idle too high maybe. (I don't have a tach, I'm going by my vacuum/boost gauge and my oil pressure gauge) Then it'll fall down to 5in vacuum and try to die and I have to hit the gas to it doesn't die. Cycle the air on and off a few times and it'll usually cut it out. This USED to stop after 30 seconds of the car being on so I ignored it, and only happened maybe 1/7 times I started the car.
Now this morning I'm leaving my driveway and it basically starts doing the same thing while I'm starting to pull away it feels like. The car very gently sputters like the ignition is cutting out or something. I'm pulling onto the highway and the same ****, I think I'm going to be stranded on the side of the road. It stops for a minute and I get up to speed and then it starts doing that at cruising speed. Then it promptly stops and runs perfectly for my whole ride to work, combined 45 minutes of highway and city traffic.
Whether or not these two problems are related I don't know. I hope/think they are?
What do you guys think, bad tps sensor? That it happens at speed means it's not the IAC or that, I would think. I swear my car has been invaded by the electrical gremlin fairy. Help!
In the past two weeks I've solved more electrical gremlins than one human should have to deal with. Finally thought it was fixed, had been driving for a week with zero problems. But nooo..
