Hi guys,
Well, I've eliminated all possible vacuum leaks, and still the 2000 rpm idle. i've come to the conclusion that it is the carb's worn throttle shafts that are giving me the problems. I checked out a replacement carb through work, and at 350 bones, it's bit bit too high for me, even with my employee discount.
I found this guy over the internet who will costom build carbs pretty cheap. He's building me a spreadbore holley 650, externally referanced power valves, mechanical secondaries, and calibrated for my setup. Get this... 230 bucks, shipped!!!
Once I get the carb in, and running, I'll let everyone know.
Until next time,
Ben
