can you still have a bad head gasket if the comp. is all even my car has 18 inches of vaccum but has a rough idle revs ok. and has no top end. wont spin the tires at any speed except brake boosting it. also my fuel pressure drops when the car is hot 5# or so

if compression is all even(and good) your head gasket is probably good......what does your oil look like? you may have a bda vacuum leak or an intake manifold leak.

do a search on that, i forget when it was but someone had that rpoblem a bit ago, and there were many good solutions for the problem.....

Possible plugged PCV...Hope it is that easy.

Check IAC's and TPS on scantool. That will gt WOT and idle in check. Look at your converter and make sure you have a D5....Should be stamped all the way around it.If it says anything else it is wrong and that could be another reason for lack of power. Also check foe exhaust leaks.Take the vacuum hose off that connects behind the alt. and stick it in a bottle of tranny fluid....You will find leaks if they are there.

the only way toblow the dipstick out of its tube is to have to much crankcase pressure. just how much comp do you have? even if its even you might have too much blowby, evenly in all cylinders. or the pressure might be caused by something else entirely. but it has to be crankcase pressure

witch vaccuum line do i take off did you meen behind the alternator if so wich one is it and does i go through the whole system
