Does the iac tables require crank signal to work? I am trying to
check the iac motor visually (unbolted but still wired) and can't
seem to get it to respond. I have set the "p" & "d" gain to 255
(for max movement). The start iac and throttle follower tables
have been adjusted from max to min settings several times.
Nothing seems to make a difference.
I can get the car to idle using ve numbers, but can't get it to ever
read anything other than max lean at idle. The o2 sensor seems
to be working correctly.
Gut feeling is that I have a vacuum leak but can't find one, the
only thing that I can find is the iac seems to be stuck open.

By the way the iac is brand new unit from fast w/ the ford adapter.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated

Hi,

Just wondering if you ever figured this out? I'm having a similar problem with my setup, and I can't seem to find my problem either... I was going to pull the IAC and try to watch it for movement as well, but haven't gotten that far yet.

Anyone?
Bryan

The P&D values are gain terms. Typical values for 'P' are 10-20, typical values for 'D' are 5-10. 255 will probably result in locking up IAC motion.
