I dont know about the syringe being empty filled with air ....no one in their right mind would risk such a thing .... air bubbles can travel to your brain, heart, or lungs and cause a heart attack, stroke, or respiratory failure...looks like he might have already plunged it down though ....

Only movement of the plunger that I could see was just before removal. Looked like he pulled it up slightly
