I guess this should really go in the 'wanted' section but this thread gets so many more hits i thought i'd pitch it here before it gets moved...

I started cleaning up the interior panels today to re-dye them from blue to grey, the rear quarter and side mouldings had this greenish looking stuff on them and i thought the car had been stored and it was mould, or the car had been left and it was manky old polish, or the sun had hit it (It's a T-top)

well i'm not sure what has happened but it appears the top layer of the plastic panels has cracked and gone horrible, i scrube and cleaned and removed what i could but its left the panels in a pretty bad shape. I dyed them anyway to see how they turned out and its not good, they just look like clean grey knackered panels, its not good.

This is a major request to anyone and everyone, if you know where i can get interior trim panels for a 1980 T-top in good condition please contact me directly jon@unitylowrider.co.uk or reply or PM

I'm desperate now.

Do later model interior panels fit older cars ? just a thought.

well i've slept on it after sulking all day and finding no hens teeth on the net and i've decided that the best option i have is to cover the panels in grey leather so i'm off today to see what i can find

if you can wait till march I've got an 83 parts car I can take a look at, but most of the interior was gone so you're probably outa luck

I've been offered an interior from a 87gn t-top do you think it will fit in the '80 t-top ?

The guy that I got the 83 from said that he had test fitted the 83 T-tops on his 87, and they fit except the trim on the sides of the glass. Good chance of the rest being the same because of this. I think they switched to the final body style of the G-bodies in 80, so you may be in luck rather then being stuck with an odd year like 79.
