Indexing SS Brakes Dual Piston Calipers??

I don't know a thing about brake systems... but my friend (trusted mechanic) said that there was nothing to index (what does that mean??) the calipers.. or something like that. Anyone know of this problem or can at least help me articulate a better question when I call SSB tomorrow?
