My friend bought one for his wife around a month ago.
They have the 5 banger and so far they are pretty happy with it.
I can ask more specifics if you want.

If you want a used one I know where a nice one is:biggrin: They are nice trucks one of my best friends bought his son one and he loves it... I rode in and I liked it, that is saying ALOT:cool:

My wife bought a 2006 model in late 2005 (first generation). She has about 60K on it now or so. At the time they came only with 5 cyl. Today you can get the 8 cyl option one.

Truck has been in the shop only a few times. Minor issues. She's been extremely happy with the truck. It's too small for me but it has performed well. Not too shabby on gas. A tad under powered but my wife does not drive fast anyway so it works for her.

Take one for a spin if you get a chance. Try taking it around a corner at a high rate of speed. You will be surprise how well it stays level on a turn.

GM is rumored to be dumping the Hummer line...You may have "fun" getting service, if they do...

A coworker has one. Went for a ride in it...pretty stupid design, IMO. If you are taller than 5' 5", you will have to lean down to look out. The windows are tiny, its like riding around in a bunker. Looks stupid too, like all Hummers. I'd say, unless you are all about "Look at me!" get a real SUV, like a Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban etc, and leave the posermobiles for the "Extreme Whips" crowd. The sooner GM dumps Hummer, the better.

Haha. "Riding around in a bunker". I was thinking along the same lines, but that is exactly why I like it. I like the short windows. I already have a Escalade and the H2 is built on a Tahoe frame and I just wanted something different. I never considered a H3 as a "look at me" vehicle though.

My wife has a Jeep and I've had all kinds of 4wd's. The H3 would just be a vehicle to go back and forth between NC and Fla. Towing and Off Roading too.

Thank's for all the other input guys. I have a dealers license so the next one I see at the auction I'll take it around the test track.

Oh, I didn't know you were a dealer:biggrin: Maybe we need to try to do some wholeselling;)

I would go with the 07 up if you can... 06 is nice but I think a few bugs were worked out by 07.

Hey Shane, I was thinking '08 or '09 with the 5.3 V8.

I can put you on as a buyer with my dealership and you can buy at Adesa in Charlotte and Raleigh.
