Information on 85-87 ECM Change?

Hello i have heard that changing the ECM on a 85 to a 86/87 ECM is better, Can anyone tell me what all i need to do because i have a 87 ECM but can i just plug it right in? Or do i need a new wireing harness? is there any other sensors i would have to put in or not? Also dose it make the car run better. Well if any one can give me a good saying on what i should do that would be great. Thanks everyone

Just buy the MAT sensor kit from Casper's and splice into the harness. Then just plug in the 86/87 kit and chip and your good to go. You can use the small chip from your 84/85 ecm and it works just fine.
