Initial adjustmenets of new wastegate rod?

So new engine, new (low milage) stock turbo and a new adjustable wastegate.

Seems like I get no boost at the moment so guess the wastegate rod is too long at the moment.

What's the best way adjusting the rod length as a starter. Just feel the puck closed in the elbow and adjust the rod accordingly or is there a better way doing this to make sure I'm as close as possible for a stock boost setup?
 
Start out with the wastegate rod adjusted so you have to pull it about 1/8" to get it on the wastegate lever. this is a good starting point and applies enough pressure to keep the wastegate closed, you can always finr tune from there if need be!
