Guys - I am running a PTE 64E turbo P-trim with PTE 63 exhaust housing. Current injectors are 55 lbs - with a single XP plus pump I was only able to run 19 lbs of boost to keep O2(s) at 760 and EGT @ 1600. Have purchased double pumper from RA - do you think this pump will keep my fuel cruve up with my turbo to allow boost of 26-30lbs??? Or should I also step up in injector size - 73 lbs???

Thanks for your thoughts

James

how much does your car weigh and how fast do you want to go in the 1/4 mile......you can consult the charts given that data.....Lubrant's chart says you can go 130 on 55's but I ain't buyin' it........72's will give you a lot more room with the double pumper

You can run 130mph with 55's and a double pumper in a full weight (3700+lb) TR, but you will be out of fuel if you try to go much faster..... Alex (aka blackshoebox on this board) was at the track when Orlando ran a 10.40 @131mph with his new heavier GN and he told me this was done with 55's and a double pumper setup.... He also told me Orlando is going to be getting some 72's now cause the 55's are done! There was another guy that ran 10.70's @129mph with a TE64 with around 30lbs of boost with 55's and a double pumper, but this car was heavier (around 3800-3900lbs) and he also needed more injector, so if I were you I would get some 72's or bigger and this way you won't have to worry about being on the edge! :)

Thanks azan,

But I guess what I am really asking is, what are most people running(inj. size) with the 64E?? If I have only a fuel volume problem, then the double pumper should cure it! I have just seen some posts that claim you need at least 72 inj with a 64E!!

I guess its all about the right combination - as I have seen some run mid tens with 50 inj and a 66 turbo!!

Thanks again

James

I'm not sure you caught my point.....car weight and speed in the 1/4 determine horsepower which determines injector needed.....mid 10's with 50 lb injectors could easily be done on a lighter car...has nothing to do with combo...just weight & speed

good luck!

James, if you check out the Turbo page on PTE's website www.precisionte.com they say that you need 65lb - 75lb injectors for the T64E turbo..... they (PTE) are saying this when they consider that most TRs are full weight (3700+lbs) so if your TR is 3700lbs or heavier then I would get me some 72's from RA just to be on the safe side cause it would really suck if you hurt your motor when the boost is turned up..... don't you think?;) :)

Later, Steve
