For sale: 64-1 big shaft turbo
When I first purchased my Grand National, this turbo was on the car and working fine. When the engine was removed for a rebuild, this turbo was placed on a shelf and forgotten about. It has sat there for about 4 years at this point. I ran across it the other day while cleaning out the garage, and the shaft is frozen (does not turn). I contacted PTE to inquire about costs to fix. They said without having it in their hands and knowing what is wrong, it is obviously impossible to say. However, they said it could be anything from a simple fix (< $100) up to a full rebuild at roughly $400.
I don't have a use for the turbo, or else I would tear it down myself and rebuild it, or at least send it to PTE to get rebuilt. So I am looking to sell it and let someone else rebuild it. I am looking to get $200 + shipping for the turbo. This could work out BIG in someone's favor, as the rebuild could potentially cost only a few dollars, and I just saw one of these sell for $750.
Payment accepted is Cash, Money order, personal check (will need to clear prior to shipping), or paypal. If you choose paypal, please add 3% to the total to cover their fees.
Thanks, and looking forward to freeing up just a little more room in the garage. Someone here is about to get a killer deal
