Spent the weekend installing some early x-mas presents from myself. First was a hooker cat back, The finished product was great but the install was a PITA. It was not a bolt on what so ever, I first had to install the tailpipes to get them centered over the axle. Then the mufflers (aerochambers.....nice) then the y pipe. Then i was able to measure and cut to fit the test pipe, then cut the square flange off the front of the cat and weld it to the t/p. Very happy with the sound, it has a little drone to it but just enough to get the people driving beside you to wonder what is that black car. Then i put on the K&N 14 inch cone with a 4 inch inlet. I had to do a little fabricating but it turned out great, hell its louder than the exhaust. And today i modified and installed the grainger valve boost controller. That is by far the best 12 dollar investment you can make. I adjusted it to 10 psi with my air hose and regulator and then took the car out for a drive. Just normal driving i could tell a difference in the performance, then after about 15 minutes i laid into it and boy was my regualtor guage i used to adjust the boost controller offfffff. Before i knew it i was at 17 lbs of boost but luckily it was cold out and my air fuel guage was reading rich and my turbo discharge was about 225. But it pulled great, a night and day difference. those are the only mods done to the car. And the best part was that the ground was wet from the rain and the tires were spinning through the run, I cant wait until it dries up to see how it really performs. But for now i adjusted the boost controller down to 10 psi and i will be getting a 340 f/p and adj. reg soon. Dont mean to be soo long winded just wanted to share.:D
