all i can say is wow. i get to run more timing and boost on 91 octane and the car feels as fast as when i was runing 18 psi on 98 octane.
i also put a big mouth style cold air intake on. the weather has been 54 degrees out lately and the car haulls friggan ass.
i have stock turbo, and i dont notice slower spool up. if anything, spoolup time is reduced.
also, my coolant temps didnt raise at all. i have the original radiator w/ 160k miles on it and a 50/50 mix of coolant/water.
stock fan, and cowl weatherstriping is in place.
car runs at 164*s solid when cruzing.
in trafic i notice it is a tad (4*s) higher, but no bigie.
i need to clock the turbo so it lines up with the intercooler pipe. the way it is now, there is a kink in the conector hose and it may be eclipseing the turbo outlet a bit. that might explain why my boost didnt raise when i aded the new cooler.
its polished, and it looks bad ass behind the grill. matches my chrome trim.
i give this intercooler two thumbs up.
