Installing a chip?

What Do I need to know about changing a chip?? Any thing special? Or just pull and plug? Anything will hep thanks.

I usually just pull the other chip out put new chip in unplug orange wire near battery plug it back in and start car. Drive it around, let it learn new chip.HTH

You should disconnect the orange wire before you do any changing of the chip.It's just safer on the electronics.

I'm a dork

I can't even get the RA 108 chip out of it's "holder". I've read the how to's over at the other buick site, still no go.

use a small flat screwdriver to pop it out

watch out for static electricity before you handle the chip such as rubbing the car rug, petting a cat you know those type of things
