Installing B&M shifter- need longer cable?

I got a B&M pro shifter, and I got it in, but the stock cable is too short I think. It seems like its pulled pretty tight, and the main problem is that the cable hooks up on the opposite side vs. the stock shifter. Is there any way around putting in a new cable? Thanks

No. Stock cable will be way too short. You'll have to get a longer cable.
