Installing Fiberglass hood

My brother bought me a fiberglass hood. The latch on the old one was broken and poorly welded. I think he ordered it from the postons catalogue, I assume postons got it from somewhere else. Anyway, I'm trying to get it to fit right! It's almost impossible. It's on right now and it fits ok, but that is only when it's latched closed...when sliding into the latch the entire hood shifts a bit to fit in. I've tried adusting the hood and the latch...it's all really difficult to get right!

Any hints to gettin' this thing on there? I put some washers under the driverside hookup to make it fit level...

I just purchaced one from Poston. The hood would not close with the saftey latch installed. The molded bolts in the hood are located in the wrong spot, the fix was to slot the ends of the latch to give it some adjustment. Washers were also needed to level the hood at the hinges. I would not recomend the Poston hood, look for another supplier.

Well, if you do...avoid the poston one (or whoever supplies them.)
