Installing GN servo question

How much force does it take to push in the servo to get the circular clip in place? Can't remember since I took this out but I am having a hard time compressing it to get the large ring in place. Is there a trick to this?

There is a compressor made to push the cover in. Your fighting the spring and cover o-ring.

It only works with the stock trans pan installed.
