Just curious how you guy's have your GN's and T Types insured? I looked and saw I can get collector car insurance on the T type if it's valued at 15k or more. I would rather put that kind of insurance on the car as I would not drive it much at all, but if not I can put it on regular insurance, I would just pay more :(

Make sure you get agreed value and not actual value. With actual value they will look in say a Kelly type blue book and give you what they think it's worth. With agreed value you agree to a coverage up front. Do a search there's alot of into on this topic.

I have mine insured by Infinity through my regular agent. $172 per year full coverage with 3k per year milage and $10,750 agreed value. You can use an appraised value and other milage limits, it will effect your premiums.

check out grundy's worldwide, I had my 87 TR and 65 Gransport, totaling 45K for $500 a year. agreed value.

I don't know much about that stuff, but is agreed value the insurance agent will produce? That was probably a stupid question. I'm just used to insuring regular cars :D

It's agreed between you and the insurer. I stated $10,000 and infinity raised it to $10,750.

I have American Modern insurance. I have value set at $15k 0r $18k, I forget. Rate is about $210 a year, no deductable. It has to be stored inside, and you choose which mileage you drive a year. I think my choices were 2, 4, 6k miles a year. If you have a 6k plan and only drive 2k, you have "rollover miles" in case you drive more next year. You can adjust the plan as needed.

Got ya, I just called Grundy and I gave her what I would like out of it if something were to happen and she gave me a quote. I based it off 11k and she said unlimited mileage $0 ded for 185 year. She said they will need pictures of the car before underwriting it, but I'm assuming it would agree to around there. That's awesome they have unlimited mileage, though I would barely drive it.

Thanks guy's

I think you have to prove you have another car for daily driving, and also no one under a certain age can drive it,I think 25. Like you I have unlimited mileage and my 65 is maybe driven 1K per year.

I have Hagerty, for an 87 it costs $376 a year for $15k coverage, but 86 and older the rates are lower. Also as stated get the "agreed on" policy.

With Hagerty now and they get $404 from me for a year for 18K coverage, thinking of switching to Grundy though.
