Stuck it in the freezer for 10 minutes. Ohmed out 1298 and started to drop very rapidly...1298 equals roughly 113 and when it drops that's approaching 130 degrees. Coming out of the FREEZER? How does my sensor do the exact opposite of resistance theory lol.
The sensor is a thermistor. It's resistance drops with the increase in temperature. Varistors increase resistance with increase in temperature.
 
70 degrees is 3400 ohms if you want to trick your ECM into thinking you are living in San Diego.
 

I keep em on hand as we have "several" gm vehicles. You can get just the sensor for a little less but I've had cases where the pigtail was the problem.
