Intake and TB

I just got an 84 GN and was wondering if i could take the intake and TB off a late model Camaro 3800 and bolt it on along with headers for an 86/87 I figure that would be an easy way to add an intercooler and upgrade the turbo. Any thoughts? These late model 3800's aren't too expensive at the wreckers.

The late model 3800s are on center so the intakes wouldn't line up. The older 3.8 intakes would physically bolt up but wouldn't leave room for the turbo. You can buy an intercooler kit for you car with the stock intake or a TM intake/intercooler kit that will drop an easy second off your times.

Could i rebuild the Cmaro 3800 with the turbo crank and forged pistons and use the whole engine then? I'm sure the heads and intake are better than the 84's if it's making 200hp naturally aspirated, and if i used the camaro pcm, maybe hypertech could burn me a program?
