Intake manivold removal

Guys ive never done this on a 231 V6 motor before. Is it possible to remove the intake manifold without removing the valvecovers? Why I ask is cause I have worked on a few motors that you had to, and I wanna make this a clean and easy removal and install. Thanks in advance

yes it is but you have to take just about EVERYTHING else off to get it out everything above it(fuel rail, turbo, pipes, TB, etc, etc). The valve covers are the least of your problems.

edit: i just read your mods in your signature....thats quite a list but when working w/ the V2 you may need to remove a few more tihngs or a few less, who knows? just keep taking stuff off till you can get it
