intercooler bracket question

I have found that my passenger side i/c bracket is quite loose. Upon further inspection, I find that the stud is loose as well and efforts to tighten same are unsuccessful. All parts attached to the stud wish to turn as well.
Can someone explain how to secure this stud ? Its hard to see what is going on because of its location.
All thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Sounds like the stud or the hole threads are stripped. If it's the stud, replace it. If it's the hole threads, try re-tapping or helicoil it. Thats' a blind hole, so it won't leak coolant.
