Interesting in that they include ethanol in the comment.

MTBE is a co solvent that was commonly used to lower CO emissions in winter blends of gasoline. It's an oxidizer. It is commonly used to oxygenate race fuels. VP q16 has a high % of mtbe. It doesn't foul sensors and plugs under normal conditions. The same goes for alcohols. MTBE is a different compound than what turns plugs orange. MTBE also has a very distinct odor.

Ok. I've seen some chatter about Q16 and problems. Some racers with inj issues, are putting the blame on the Q16. Mite you know what ingredient is promoting that commentary?
If the MTBE is not the orange crud, what component in the booster, is responsible?

The surprizing, [to me, anyway], "ingredient" in their comment is "ethanol". [I've not flowed/cleaned injectors that have been run on E85, so I can't comment on any issues it may/may not be causing.]
I sure can tell what the E10 crap does to my lawn equipment! My bud owns a mower shop. He says business is booming!

I'm pretty sure it's manganese tricarbonyl that causes the orange deposits.
