If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in theater,
during the last 22 months, there has been a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000
in Iraq.

Now, the firearm death rate rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000. That
means that you are 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation's
Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you
are in Iraq.

Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington, D. C.

Guns don't kill people, Americans do. lol

Strange facts like that could keep me busy all day. Thanks for that!

The population estimate according to the U.S. Census Bureau for the District of Columbia as of 2003 is 563,384.

Does that mean that there were 454 gunshot related deaths in the D.C. area?

That's a lot!!

Aint that the truth!!

I teach Weapons handling at Great Lakes and a couple of months ago I told my students that you are more likely to get shot in a big city than in theather in Iraq. I think one month the total deaths in Iraq were 93 and the Total for Detroit was over 100...and last I checked, we werent at war with Detroit!!!!!
