Intermediate Servo's Job

Gentlemen,
From what I can gather the servo applies pressure to the intermediate band which tightens the band around the drum and basically gives you your second gear. Is that right? - BB

Yes, that is correct.......It also accumulates fluid for the 2-3 shift.
