international shipping question?

I have a crank that needs to go to australia. anybody have any experience shipping there? I am finding $300+ to ship it. anyone have a better solution?

Slow and as you've found, expensive. I don't know how you could pack it so the *International Brotherhood of Stomp, and Runover it Union Members*, couldn't destroy it. The American Division, has done an outstanding job of ruining anything heavy or bulky that I've sent within the Cont. 48..
The S+RO guys were pretty well able to destroy even a box of magazines to the *outback* for me.

I sold a intake to a guy in Australia, it was only 40.00 to ship it via US mail on a slow boat. It took like 8 weeks to get there.
