Anybody have recommendations on these? Got an Ipod and I'm looking at these for my "old school" tape deck equipped cars.

Got something for my daughters ipod at buy.com. You plug it into the cigarette lighter and then it transmits to an fm station. You use a 1/8th inch to 1/8 inch plug from the earphone jack on ipod to the thing that plugs into the lighter. It will also that a usb cable or zip drive with songs. It was about $30.

use the dlo cig lighter one- it works great- i take mine from car to car

also get it from an online store refurbished at $25
not best buy for $90

You get what you pay for

I bought the fm transmitter for cig. lighter, but if the lighter is recessed or hidden from shifter, you are screwed, there is the long cord and you can pick up ipod and look while driving, but reception is not that good, it depends on your area for catching signals, I use 88.7 or 88.9 and it works. take and run from other vehicles.

I have 60 GB old version, and the 3 way out of ear piece can plug into vcr red, yellow, white jacks and then listen to fm channel through the bottom of ipod connected to fm transmitter, but then I bought new 160GB classic, and the video adapter can only be played through the bottom receptacle, not the top ear piece. so no fm transmitter for radio and video together. Got a great idea, then apple screws it up trying to make more moeny by requiring special cables. However my 160GB video cable can display videos and movies on my 42" HD tv the same as on 19" computer monitor.

Amazon.com: Griffin White iTrip FM Transmitter for iPod: Electronics

FM plus recharges
DLO - Transpod 2 All-in-One FM Transmitter for Apple® iPod® - Black - 009-3031

DLO - TransDock Micro FM Transmitter for Apple® iPod® - 003-8890

Also, if it IPOD sits on top after a while of using it, the lighter end will spin and ipod falls out. Get the kind that lays down in cup holder.

Bought the Accurian Cassette Adapter and brought it back RIGHT AWAY. Couldn't hear crap with the ipod and radio cranked up. Bought a Griffin FM receiver and so far it will do. Thanks guys.
