Turbolou: Did you sell Mike a wristwatch or timepiece, or something like that?
He mentioned something today about cleaning your clock?

Let's all remember....... Lou built Mike's car.

Dodge built Lou's car. Lou hasn't really messed around with it yet.........

Just sayin'.

Nice pass, Mike!

after a quick search on the innerweb i found Mikes secret, this is how he got past the dodge at the line!

Hmmm... Shall I dare say that maybe Lou is accustomed to choppin' down the tree to spool up in time?

Perhaps the Hades Feline responds a bit quicker.

Say's Grandpa (10 second) Cadillac.......... ;);););)
That's OK, Guy. Here's some points to ponder: Lou didn't build Mike's motor. Lou built the short block for someone else. Someone else didn't work out. Mike bought the short block and already had the other stuff and put it together.
Even if the Caddy has the balls to run 10's, I don't. Now you can laugh all you want, but if truth be told, one of these days you'll be old too. In reality, I don't think that the Cad would hold a candle to Lou's MoparSlopar, but the Cad was pieced together almost 10 years ago, and the technology was not then where it is today.
Just sayin', Guy.

Well, I had a less than stellar day today down in Tucson, but it was still better than yard work .........

104.22 in the 1/8th.

10.83 @ 128.87 on the big end.

Gary, we're all "old" and I wasn't "laughing" at you. In my wise assed way, I was trying to show you some respect, I guess you missed that., huh?

In addition, I don't need to ponder your points about Mike's car. I'm not saying Mike isn't a Turbo Buick specialist in his own right, he is . However, there's video out there where Mike clearly gives Lou the credit for the way his car runs, just as I do.

Jus' sayin.

Not sure why you decided to come in here to call me out on any of these points, but whatever, have a nice night. Your Caddy is a badass machine, always has been. Keep up the good work.

Now, I'm thinking that we need a Gary Wells / Turbo T Guy grudge race.

Also, I have driven both Lou's Hellcat and Gary's Hennessey Cad V at full throttle. My guess would be that they'd be with in a tenth of each other.
Using the Wallace Racing conversion calculator, Lou's 7.10 run against me would pan out to a 11.18 in the quarter mile. http://www.wallaceracing.com/8th-quarter-conversion.php I suspect that it would actually do a bit better, as it's a heavy car and should pull hard on the top end.

My bad & my apologies, Guy. At my age & what's left of my metal disposition I fire up early and am in error at least half the time. And that's on a good day.

No worries, don't feel bad Gary, most days the alarm rings, I wake up, put my feet on the ground, go take leak and it's about then that I realize Oh, I have to go to work today........... Dammit!:eek::eek:

I'm game!

If for no other reason than to just say I friendly raced Gary, just like you and Lou, no matter the outcome! :D

Mike's just being complimentary about the Cad staying up with either of those beasts. The way that the Cad is set up with street tires I figure it would be good for about 11.5, maybe. It needs slicks badly and there it only 1 slick that will fit it on the standard rim. Even if you change rims there is not enough room under there to get any more slick on it. I told Mike yesterday that I'm too old & feeble to make a good run & I would have to put him behind the wheel. He just wants to beat the Caddy up to see what it will do.

But let me hi-jack this thread just long enough to talk about some real early day street storming Mopars and an early Mopar guy. In about late '60's early '70's I found myself living in BFE Wyoming & in a 6K population rural town the street scene was where it was at. I bought a '67 GTO from a local kid in town. Blew the motor 1 day going to work which was a 2.5 hr drive. parked it on the side of the highway. It got stolen. I needed another street car. I flew to Denver & bought the most beautiful car that I have ever owned. A '69 Plymouth GTX, hdtp, 440, 727, console, posi rear, full power, white on white, 31K miles, highback white front seats out of a wrecked '71 Challenger. I later traded it for a '70 Dodge Challenger TA, 340 six-pak, 25K miles. Fastest small block I've ever been in. Sold it & moved back to L.A. & came across a '68 Hemi GTX. Later sold it& bought a '71 Boss 351 Stang. I'm actually a Ex Mopar lover in disguise.
