Do you need a blowoff valve on a spearco ic kit or is it really not needed?

not needed , however it will help with the life of your turbo if you do get one. stops compresser surge whn you let off from full boost

Plus it is nice to blow at people as you pass them.
My HKS SSQV makes people jump and scream if they are walking on the sidewalk. My Brother in law is a die hard mustang / ford guy and when I let him drive my car he couldn't quit saying I love this F@#%ing car. He was giggling like a little high school girl the first time she had a beer.

who makes the quitest bov? also it needs to be cheap because I'm in college. do any imports have good bov that i could buy used? also would i have to just weld it to my intake or what? thanks jerrad

Jerrad if you want cheap, than do not buy one like the 10's of thousands of GN's who do not have one already.

If you MUST have one, Forge Motorsports has a nice cheap one at $170. I have it on my Turbo Talon and its great to 21psi with the stock spring inside.

If you are looking for a good BOV for cheap you can buy a Brand new DSM one for around 65-70 and they dont sound that bad either.

Agree there, I tried a couple of different aftermarket BOV's Greedy type R and a Tial and did not like either on on my Talon and went back to the stock one. The aftermarket ones sounded to Ricey for my taste. It was not a 10's sec car (although it did run 11's) but I just think the all metal stock DSM ones work and sound fine. AND CHEAP
