Got under the car to tighten the oil pan and noticed this hole. This is at the rear of the oil pan where it meets the cover panel for the flywheel/converter. The rusty pipe is the crossover pipe. Is there suppose to be a plug or something covering it? It doesn't appear to be threaded.
Thanks

nope. nothing goes there.. if there is one on the other side of the oil pan, then it was probably a tooling fixture point for doing the machine work at the factory. if it's only on that one side, then it's probably where they drilled an oil passage or something and there is a plug of some kind up in the hole..
