I came across this product from a friend of mine and was curious to know if anyone is currently using it or knows anyone that has.

DynamicEFI

I have been reading through the site and so far from what I have read it seems like a pretty sweet set up. This reminds me of the XFI set up but no where near the cost......I am not 100% familiar with the XFI but what I do know about it is that it does sound like what this system does.

If any of you guys have some personal info on this I would really like to hear your thoughts. I am currently posting on another thread and I am having chip issues with my car now. If I had the money I would go XFI because it is proven but don't have that kinda cash right now. This system is right around $400 and gets rid of the chip all together and seems to do what a Power logger does.

please chime in if you got some info.

Thanks!

Thanks for the link. Never heard of it before but I looked over most of the pages on their website and I don't think it will work easily on a TR. It looks to be mostly aimed at V8's, although they do list the 3.1 V6 ecm as one it will directly plug into so maybe a 6 cylinder is ok. It expects an ignition module and a distributor, not individual coilpacks (only has one coil output channel). Their wiring diagrams only show driving two injectors (TBI), but the text also mentions MPFI, so I don't know how many injectors it can drive and if it is limited to bank-to-bank injection on PFI setups. It uses a MAP sensor and speed-density, not a MAF sensor, so the initial tuneup and general drivability tuning will take the same effort as on an XFI but you lose the MAF inlet restriction. If you really want to pursue it you will have to talk to them to see if they say it is compatible with our ECM (1227148), or if there is another ECM you can switch to. Biggest disadvantage is that you will be on your own for tuning, compared to using chips or a FAST system.
