This one is not stock, has a te62e, front mount ic, headers, new paint, new interior, 3" dp and lots more goodies. If the car is in good shape is it worth the money in your opinion? What is an estimate it could run with these mods with traction?

You know it all depends on how hard you want to push it when trying to lay down a good number. Race gas, injector size, amount of boost, the tune up, how much timing, etc. I don’t want to tell you how fast it should be, because there are to many variables to be answered first. I’ll just say anywhere from 12’s to 11’s

Let me tell you this; if the car has bean repainted and the interior is redone this guy already has a lot of money in it. Look at it this way, you are planning on spending 10 grand, that is allot of money, but would it cost you more to spend 6 or 7 on a car and then get it into the condition of this one you are looking at? The other thing to consider is doing a compression test on the engine before purchase, if that checks out good, and it has the mods you want, then it’s worth buying.

If there is no trunk sticker then stay away!!! I've seen an everyday v6 regal that was changed into a t-type. The t-type was totalled and the drive train and interior were swaped into the regal. Car looked and ran good but it wasn't a real TR.

The way to tell if it is an original turbo car is by the eighth digit on the V.I.N. tag. It will be the number 7, which designates it came from the factory with a 3.8 litre turbo engine. Should the eighth digit not be a 7 then it is not an original turbo car.

The VIN has the 8th digit as a 7, so it should be a turbo regal.
If I could find a decent body I would swap out the drivetrain and put in the drivetrain I have here. These bodys are getting hard to find nowadays. I had a chance to buy a Monte Carlo luxury sport that was clean, black with maroon interior. That would have been a nice swap. Those cars look good.

Okay so it was definitely a turbo car from the factory. Sounds like your still wondering on wether or not to spend the dough. Give us the rundown on the car. Have you looked it over closely, was it in an accident, does it have frame damage, is the interior in good shape? Did you do a compression test. How did it drive, was it tight? I already Know it hauls A#$, that is why you are interested in it.

One of the quickess and reliable ways is to check for the aluminum bumper brackets. Not to say someone may have changed them out during some body repair, but many would be WE4's are found out because it is an unseen thing and easy to overlook.

Not all WE4s had the aluminum bumper supports....

In the end, without the RPO code, it is next to impossible to tell if it is an original WE4...

Well guys it is a real WE4 the RPO sticker was put back on after they replaced the trunk lid. Has aluminum drums and bumper supports. Thanks to all that replied.
